Customer service as a strategic asset.
Our mission is to turn customer service into something that delights customers and fuels business growth — not a cost centre to be minimised.
What we do
Dial AI, based in Vancouver, BC, brings over 30 years of collective experience in the utility software space.
Since our inception we've specialised in building, deploying and maintaining advanced AI systems. Our expertise is in crafting language models tailored to your business and connecting them to the systems that hold your customers' data.
By blending the precision of AI with natural language understanding, Dial AI is changing how customers interact with your business.
Why utilities
Regulated industries were the hardest place to make this work, which is exactly why we started there. The systems are old, the obligations are real, and the answers have to be right. Building for that constraint produced a product that holds up anywhere.

Milestones
How we got here.
From automated meter reading to utilities on three continents.
Before Dial AI
Teaching machines to read meters
Our core team built some of the first AI solutions used for automated meter reading, at ServiceLink — later acquired by Harris Computer. Applying AI to utility operations is not a pivot for us; it is where we started.
2023
Dial AI founded
Formed to take that same approach to the other end of the utility — the contact centre, where the systems are just as old and the volume is far less forgiving.
2024
Key projects at PSE&G and Philadelphia Water
Large-scale deployments at two of the most demanding utilities in North America — programmes where the call volume was too high, and the window too short, to solve by hiring.
2024–25
Partnerships with the platforms utilities already run
Agreements with the utility software vendors — Hansen, Harris, SpryPoint and others — so an AI agent could be added in front of an established system of record rather than requiring a new one underneath it.
2026
Across Canada and the United States
Utilities, municipalities and co-ops in production across voice, chat, email and SMS.
Now
Going international
Early work underway in Europe and Australia, where the regulatory obligations differ and the underlying problem does not.
